The Prinsen Boat Studio
You will immediately notice the difference between the Prinsenboat Studio and an Amsterdam hotel.
We abide by the rules against SARS-Cov2 infection of the Dutch RIVM (Dutch Centre for Disease Control).
This means that (everywhere in the Netherlands) we maintain a distance of 1.5 metres. This means that we do not shake hands.
Although you are most welcome, unfortunately this results in a somewhat cool reception. Our apologies for this.
We thoroughly clean everything up before you check in. We provide alcohol gel and paper towels. Please help us keep the pandemic under control by using alcohol gel to disinfect and clean the Prinsenboat Studio.

In 2010 the World Heritage Committee decided to add the 17th century canal area in Amsterdam to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Nightlife is also within walking distance; from the clubs on Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein to the famous Gay Venue street;
Reguliersdwarsstraat.
No taxi needed after a night out.

We do not serve breakfast.
We found it in Indonesia, in, what was said, an opium kit.

Unfortunately the strict rules of the city of Amsterdam forbid us to have a kitchen in the Prinsenboat Studio, which means we cannot offer you cooking facilities.
You have no cooker and no sink.
Luckily there is a wide variety of nice international restaurants just around the corner, in the Utrechtsestraat.
In the nearby, trendy Albert Cuyp neighbourhood, de Pijp, you will find, next to the street market, a wide range of reasonably priced eateries such as nice authentic Surinamese eateries.
Private “Andlucian” style bathroom with overhead shower, wash basin and toilet.

We had to say goodbye to the old Prinsenboat but we succeeded in building a new Prinsenboat with all modern conveniences; such as floor heating, your own private bathroom with shower, toilet, and wash basin, unlimited free WiFi, while preserving the old exotic features such as the opium bed and the wood carvings.
The new Prinsenboat has a special roof with sedum plants (green roof)
that helps to prevent global warming.
At the same time, the roof insulates against the heat inside the boat in
summer and against the cold outside in winter.
And it looks great too!

Wake up in the morning to a spectacular view of the canal of the Prinsengracht, take a walk through Amsterdam, come home at the end of the day in the tranquility of your private studio on the water, relax and watch life on the Amsterdam canals pass by.
Experience historic Amsterdam in a very special way; live on the water!
